Using the Stand

The stand is self-serve, which means it is unmanned. This is a part of how we keep prices low!

We have a large gravel parking area. Park somewhere near the stand entrance on the gravel. There aren’t any marked spaces.

The stand is inside the stone barn, with a big sign hanging on the front next to the entrance.

Inside you will need to read the signs to get your bearings, select your items, and make your purchase independently.

If an item is sold by weight, it is loose so you can buy exactly the amount you need. It is a good idea to choose a digital scale for lighter items. There are scales all over, and some bags if you have forgotten yours.

If something is bunched with a rubber band it is intended to be sold as a bunch. Please do not break it apart, the price is for the whole unit.

When buying multiple items, many of our customers use their smartphone calculator to slowly add up their purchase. It is easy to lose track of the cost/weight of everything. We also have pencils and small slips of paper available for those who wish to tally things up the old fashioned way.

U-Pick

Most of the farm is not u-pick, but when we have u-pick available, additional information will be posted on the wall inside the stand. The u-pick beds are predominantly the ones immediately next to the parking area.

If you plan to u-pick, it is never a bad idea to bring your own cutting implement. For liability our scissors are pretty wimpy.

What to Bring

Help us keep our commitment to reduce/eliminate waste by bringing your own produce bags, grocery bags, and egg cartons.

Most of the produce is packed into clear storage totes in a glass-front fridge. You will usually need to pull the totes out to select your items. Navigating the sliding doors can be tricky for some folks, as well as lifting the heaviest of the totes, so a second set of hands is always nice.

Payment

We accept cash, check, Venmo, or Farm Direct Dollars

If you want to pay by cash, be sure to bring small denominations as change is limited to what is in the jar (often just coins.)

Bathrooms

We do not have public restrooms at the farm. Sorry! For unplanned emergencies, you may be able to utilize the public bathrooms at the nearby Eagle Park (go North on Eagle toward Butler Market, and turn left on Flagstone Ave, you’ll see it a block down on your left. )

Dogs

We love dogs! Calm and leashed dogs are welcome on the gravel and concrete areas of the farm. For biosecurity, please do not allow them on the wood chips or garden. It is also very important that they do not show any aggression to our livestock. This increases stress for our hardworking animals, and decreases their productivity. Examples of aggression would be lunging or pulling toward the animals, or staring intensely.
